Locked Out of Heaven is an instant classic. I was surprised it wasn't chosen as the second single, b ut it's inevitably going to make it to radio sooner or later. The record is bright with a strong chorus. Young Girls is probably my favorite song. Well, he's let loose the grown man side fully here and without restraint, which is nice to see, and he does it while paying homage to some really funky genre styles. I was torn with his debut, because it seemed like this cross between grown man R&B/soul, and light hearted kid friendly pop songs. This album isn't perfect, but it's damn good! There are some really funky tracks here, and he seems to be showcasing his voice a bit more freely here than on the first record. This album reminded me of albums froms decades past that only had 9 or so songs, and still managed to be killer, such as Michael Jackson's "Thriller", Billy Joel's "The Stranger", etc.
